2D Bar Code Boarding Passes,
2D BCBP

IATA has implemented a new type of boarding pass. Instead of a magnetic stripe, the new boarding pass is equipped with a 2D bar code.

The new 2D bar code boarding pass will successively replace the ATB boarding pass, with the magnetic stripe. However, the ATB boarding pass will still be in use until 2010.

Check-in and boarding 2D capable equipment that supports BCBP boarding passes will be installed at all SGS stations during 2007-2008.
